Just remember that day when you have cold, that time you feel so miserable and uncomfortable. Just imagine what will happen when your baby have cold. There is little bit difference in you and your baby. You can say to anyone that I have a problem and you can get medicine by yourself. But your child is so small and he can’t tell his feeling. He / she are totally depending on you. Viruses are responsible for this cold, when infected people doing sneeze and cough in front of health people. A virus gets in nose and throat easily and infected them.
When to Seek Medical Advice
If your baby is three month or less than three months and you see that symptoms, you should contact to pediatrician immediately. Cold symptoms for the babies of three month of less then three months are not good. It will create a very dangerous situation so please don’t avoid it.
If your baby is more than three month and you see that symptoms, like his lips and nails are becoming blue and his sound of breathing will come very high. That time you should called the doctor immediately. In this situation you should extra care of your child and provide extra rest. If he have a fever him acetaminophen or if he older that six months he may take ibuprofen (but don’t give it to your baby if he is dehydrated or continuously vomiting.
