Since long time we all are aware of the term "POLIO" and its effects. The Ancient paintings and carvings, such as Egyptian paintings show healthy people with physical deformity, walking with canes at a young age or whole life, etc. It’s been theorized that the Roman Emperor Claudius was stricken as a child, and this caused him to walk with a limp for the rest of his life. United States president Franklin D. Roosevelt struck and effected polio in 1921 and was paralyzed from the waist down as a result.
Polio is an infectious disease caused by a virus .It spread from person to person contact (i.e., Fecal-oral), and affects the person who do not have immunity against polio. It affects the nervous system and can cause total paralysis and can effect at any age. Polio mainly affects children at the age of 3-5 years. Children who are immunized against polio may sometimes suffer only mild symptoms, and as a result they may become permanently immune to the disease. There is no cure for Polio, but can be prevented through immunization.
It's an urge to all take some time out of your busy schedule, administer and get your child vaccinated and immune against POLIO.
